Blonde Porter

We wanted to deconstruct the flavor profile of a porter and recreate those flavors without using the traditional roasted malts to create a light blonde colored, full flavored beer. We used oats and wheat to build a full creamy body aged with coffee and chocolate for a rich roasted aroma and robust finish.

Ingredients –

3 cups of flour
1 tbl baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbl sugar or honey
6 tbl butter
1 can of Perrin Gold Ale

Instructions –

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Mix dry ingredients including flour, salt, and baking powder
  3. Slowly add sugar or honey, butter and full can of beer
  4. Dough will start to become slight sticky – continue to knead together until well combined
  5. Spoon the dough into well greased loaf pan
  6. Bake for 45 minutes – 1 hour until knife comes out clean
  7. Allow to cool, slice and enjoy with your favorite soup, flavored jam, or cheese dip!
