Meet Adam LeClaire, AKA Pierre LeClaire. The man behind such beer names as “Uncle Louis’ Cocktail”, “Poop Your Pants” and “The Dangler”. He came into the Perrin Brewing team back in February of 2014, and currently fills the role of Logistics Manager. Adam originally started his brewing career at New Holland Brewing Company where he worked his way through most of the jobs you can have in a production brewery over 12 years. When asked about why he chose to go into brewing, he stated “Initially it was because I enjoyed seeing and drinking what I created that day. Now I enjoy the challenge of juggling all the logistics that go in to getting beer into a glass and into people’s hands”. He later added “I chose the brewing industry because I probably would have failed miserably at being some suit and tie mother fucker”.
Adam attended Hope College where he majored in Business Management, and racked up unnecessary student loans. In the summer of 2015, Adam “Pierre” LeClaire signed up for the “Midwest Super Slam of Ultra running”, which is a series of five 100 mile Ultra Marathons. Yes, that is running for 100 continuous miles… no break, no rest, and no pansies. Adam ended up winning the Slam by a sizeable margin, even after dealing with a little kidney failure along the way. This year Adam is training for the Ouray 100, which is a 100 mile ultra-marathon through the San Juan mountains of Colorado. It’s safe to say that most of his time away from the brewery goes into training for these Ultra Marathons.
When he’s not at Perrin (or running crazy long distances), Adam loves to spend time with his wife Amy, and his dogs, Iris and Winnie.
