On Friday December 11th, Black Goat and Pellicle will be released in bottles at 11am. Pellicle is a taproom only release while Black Goat will see distribution. “Pellicle” is a Dark Sour Lager and “Black Goat” is a Bourbon Barrel Aged Double Black Lager, coming in at 8.5% ABV.
Pellicle Dark Sour Lager 5.6% ABV
Pellicle, our unique version of a dark and delicate sour, spent over a year lagering in fresh oak barrels. This lager epitomizes the unique Brettanomyces yeast flavors alongside notes of raisins, plums, and spicy coconut. In addition to the rarity of the beer: it’s wild and bottle conditioned, which means it will change and evolve over time if it’s stored correctly.
Black Goat 8.5% ABV 25 IBU
We took the recipe for our Black Lager and doubled the ingredients. Six months after the magic happened and the goat was birthed. Black Goat is a Double Black Lager; sure to please the harshest of critics. Caution: this billy kicks!
