From Brewer Adam LeClaire
Greetings Perrin People,
As you may or may not know, May 11-17 is American Craft Beer Week and that alone should get you excited. As I write this, we have 23 different beers on tap in the pub (with a few more returning favorites waiting in the wings) – but we know that isn’t enough. We know that the public demands more, so any chance we get we are either filling barrels with beer that the bosses don’t know about or stashing kegs of specialty beer for a rainy day. So now, in honor of Craft Beer Week, we’re opening up the secret stash and unleashing this goodness upon you. Monday through Friday we’ll be tapping one special offering each day. Here’s a quick peek at the beers we’ve been hoarding away for you and when they’ll be available:
Monday 5/11 – Juicy. This beer is essentially Grapefruit IPA on steroids, but we also brewed it under the super-moon to effect the gravitational pull of the hops on your brainwaves.
Tuesday 5/12 – No Rules. Sometimes John goes a little crazy and he makes a 15% porter with coconut and cinnamon.
Wednesday 5/13 – Bourbon Barrel Aged Sweet Potato Porter. We took a silver medal winner at this year’s World Expo of Beer and aged it in oak barrels.
Thursday 5/14 – Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged She’s So Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. That’s about the longest beer name ever – and a nice scotch ale aged in oak.
Friday 5/15 – Oak Barrel Aged Kona with Chestnuts. Just like the name says: our coffee brown ale aged on oak with chestnuts.
In addition to all that beery goodness, we’re also giving you a few chances to check out the brewery. We’ll be running tours on Saturday and Sunday, so if you’ve ever had any interest in getting past that big glass window – here’s your chance.
