Over 3,000 people attacked childhood hunger together through charity, running, and beer at Perrin Ice Jam Winter Festival 2018
On Saturday, January 27th, 2018 the generous, craft beer-loving folks of West Michigan attended Perrin Brewing Ice Jam Winter Festival, a donation based event designed to benefit Kids’ Food Basket and attack childhood hunger to provide kids in the community with the nourishment they need to reach their full potential. This day-long event brought in a total of 1,700 pounds of food donations and $20,000 in donation proceeds.
The Ice Jam Winter Festival kicked off with 554 runners in the Frostbite 5K Run/Walk through the neighborhood of Perrin Brewing. Runners of all ages as young as 3 to 73 made
As the day continued, the backyard of Perrin Brewing was jamming with live music, a line up of food trucks, a brand-new release of Peach Bellini NE IPA, and outdoor games/bonfires. The pile of food donations from the entrance admissions grew to several pallets worth, totaling in 1,700 pounds of donations. Every donation helps provide a child with a nutritious evening meal so they can be their best in school and life.
